Reaper & Line 6 FBV Express MKII "Waiting for Midi Input" issue with Amplitube

Hi all. I have followed this video to set up the FBV Express using Reaper. All good there, but when I go to assign the pedal in Amplitube to learn midi, I get a pop up "waiting for midi input" which stays like that.
I am getting midi in both channels as per the video.
Any idea of what the issue might be?

Normally it says waiting for midi until you adjust something on a pedal or keyboard controller. For example, twiddle a knob or move an expression pedal.

    It's not a competition.

I’ve tried moving the expression pedal and the pedal buttons on and off and nothing. The channels on Reaper are getting midi signals as well. Must be my settings !

When you press a pedal button or move your expression pedal, do you see a little yellow light flash at the bottom of the level meter on the track you've set to record midi? That's an indication that the track is receiving something (see pic below).

Also, is the track you've set to record midi, set to send midi messages to the 2nd track with Amplitude on it.

I am not back home til weekend I will have a look at my settings when I get home. I have a template set up with the tracks ready to record the midi along with the guitar in ampltube so I need to remember all the little quirks to get running each time I want to use an amplitube patch with wah.

    Don't touch that dial.

Sorted it. As per the video I copied their settings exactly but realised after some messing around I had to change the channels from 5 (on the video) to 1! Doh!

I ended up selling the FBV. Just looking for a midi pedal on/off now, so a 1 or 2 switch job will do, most likely a 1 switch on/off.
