Very good to see they're going away from front-mounted jack sockets to edge-mounted; much cleaner-looking aesthetically IMHO.
I prefer front mounted jacks. You end up with fewer broken plugs.

They certainly weren't thinking of my wants and needs when they came up with this load of shit.

The single pickup tele custom is just yummy!

    Sorry I meant this one!

My first thought too. Fender should have thought of that decades ago!

Am I the only one who thinks that is a revolting scratchplate? Yes, I know it links back to the twin pickup deluxe - but its just an excessive amount of black plastic that does not a lot.
Genuinely... its the neck pickup on a Tele Deluxe and the middle position that give it the unique sound. The bridge unit on its own isn't that different to any other bright humbucker equipped guitar. I say that having owned a few... so I don't really understand the enthusiasm for having a guitar with too much plastic on the front and less sonic capability...
But then, I guess I'm not a rawk and methaaal player.

@impmann I think that single pickup Squier could do a lot more than metal. I'm guessing!

I'm a musical snob, not a fan of Squier, although they are in my mind infinitely better than Epiphone as they have the right headstocks.

Having said that, I do very much like the look of the Red strat with P90s.

I’d love a Tele shaped one of these

The Jim Adkins fits the bill I think:

A bit spendy, but they come up SH from time to time.
I agree, I think the twin P90 suits the Tele aesthetic much better than a Strat.

IIRC, there was a short-lived solid body mahogany Tele with P90s at one point - late 90s or early 00s, I think.

Tele Junior. I coveted one of those greatly…

i wish that fender would reissue the pawn shop mustang special guitar as a squier or just reissue it full stop. have always wanted one of those.

and i also lusted after a tele jr too since reading a guitarist review of one.

It’d do even more with two pickups. ;-)

The stratosonic looks cool. I had the fender version several years ago but got rid the crème brûlée colour it was in made me feel sick lol

Telesonic I think they were called. But I think they had TV Jones or Dearmond pickups not P90’s?

I'd like one of these in black but with a std.Tele bridge, two Tele pickups, a three way toggle or std. Tele switch and a maple/maple Tele neck ;)

I think think the Jazzmaster XXII is the one for me! Played my first 12 string in the studio yesterday, and it was so much fun.

I really like the rascal, the XII and the red thing with the p90s.

No idea why anyone would want the esquire deluxe - its just a proper deluxe with a bit missing.

Changing the subject slightly, did Fender do a Limited Edition Series in 2022? You know, like the Parallel Universe ones a few years back? I know Squier did the 40th Anniversary ones, but what about Fender?
