Right, one of these must go and I'll keep the other one as I only really need one small-bodied acoustic. Sale preferred, but vintage trades/part-ex may be possible.

1949 Gibson LG3. In very good condition, comes with original case which is in less good condition but very few of these even survive! Even has some period spare strings! Acquired from a well-known vintage guitar dealer in Florida.

Sounds and plays incredible, frets in very good condition. Sometime in the mid-60's it had a set of double line Kluson tuners installed (w/the original single line Klusons are in its case) as well as a new bridge as the original must have cracked, plus the scratchplate has had a small repair. Otherwise all original. There is some plectrum wear on the bottom of the soundhole as per the pics.

This is a very early example of the LG3 with a grainy spruce top and a light mahogany stained back & sides. Its 1 piece mahogany neck is straight as an arrow w/minimal wear.
Its ink date stamped on its neck heel inside its sound hole. Its a pre-1952 for sure but hard to date & was completed between 1948-1951. Other than its small repaired pickgard crack, its completely crack free w/only slight weather checking here & there.

£4995. Collection or meet up only given the value, and the fragility of the original case.
NOW £3995
