Just heard that Johnny Fean has died. A brilliant guitarist with his own unique style.

I saw them supporting Thin Lizzy at Wembley in 1978! Always liked a lot of their stuff.

Legendary band over here. Met them all individually and have seen them many times.

Johnny was a fantastic guitarist. RIP.

He used to play blues gigs around Limerick city years ago. Guitar, a Les Paul goldtop I believe straight into a Nolan amp. Lovely sound and tone. RIP.

In or around 1978, I met the band members in a pub near Mullingar. It simply happened that a friend and I needed a drink, and the guys were there. Chilling out before a gig down the country. Great bunch of guys, I ended up playing 8 ball pool with them.
