Ace USA jazz guitarist Jack Wilkins died May 5th. He was 78. 

A superb but not so well known player (and teacher); he made many excellent solo records and a legendary live album with trombonist Bob Brookmeyer.

Damn, that's sad news. Fantastic musician and excellent teacher also. Really enjoyed his books too. I remember watching him play a show in the Berklee recital hall, everyone was blown away.
