She was an icon. Incredible singer. Very sad day
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

Legend isn’t quite a big enough word.

Saw Tina live in the mid 80's - what a show and what a band -Robery Cray support band - She might not have the soul of Aretha or the sultry voice of Dionne but she has loads of energy and the show was awesome - Great singer and knew how to belt it out - RIP Tina and thanks for the memories

An icon of the 80s, and also of the 60s. She taught Mick Jagger how to dance! Even so, she' s still sits at the top table and could have written the book on rock vocals, having practically invented the genre. RIP.
Ten years too late and still getting it wrong

What a legend R.I.P  Just watch this with Robert Cray.....much respect.

    That's good.
    Such talent.
And it makes me nostalgic for the sound of great singing from the days before Autotune.  It's magical at this level of ability.

I still have a vinyl copy of BEF's 'Music Of Quality & Distinction Vol. 1' which effectively rebooted TT's career, and deservedly so.  Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh were also behind many of her subsequent hits.  I wasn't a massive TT fan but as others have said, she was a bona fide legend and a great performer.

That’s the only Bryan Adams song I actually like.

The guitar sound on the opening chords is fantastic, I assume it’s a Strat into an AC30 but I don’t know for sure.

I saw her live just as she was making her comeback, so an audience of a few hundred in Wolverhampton and she was headlining arenas a few months later. That whole review thing with the dancers was new to me but full of energy and not schmaltz. Happy memory.
    RIP
