Having 'phoned in sick' this month, I enjoyed checking these solos out immensely.
Well done to all - a tough challenge squeezing ideas into 30 seconds.
Even harder trying to pick 3 !

5 points: @Bellycaster -  great tone, loved the intro and the jaunty lines
3 points: @stratman3142 - for what sounded like a diminished scale line :)
1 points: @digitalkettle - great groovy 60's sound and ending lick

@fastonebaz and @flying_pie , great stuff i simply ran out of points

@stratman3142 - for what sounded like a diminished scale line

Well spotted. A 'half step, whole step' scale line, which was an idea that I nicked from Robben Ford.

Great playing all round to a short but professionally mixed backing track (not my words). Difficult to separate but:

5 points @digitalkettle for the best fit to the backing for me. Great 60s vibes and nice and lively

3 points @Bellycaster for great playing, tasty licks and another well constructed solo

1 point @stratman3142 - very creative albeit a rich polite. Would sound killer on panpipes

Sorry @fastonebaz but the others just pipped it for me. If the first solo had a tpuch of the second solo in it then it could well have changed the order

Multi-entries! This is getting confusing ;)

5pts - @fastonebaz for the 'Pulp Fact' entry...vintage vibe, tastefully played...no slippage of the mask (until Randy Rhoads turned up for 'slight return' ;) )
3pts - @flying_pie for the 'Pentasonic' entry...very Kinks-esque...even the title sounds like a Burns guitar name
1pt - @Bellycaster - the usual inventive kind of playing...not sure that the title scans (geddit?)

Damn: five entrants = one person left out...sorry @stratman3142 there was clearly lots of thought in there...it just needed a bit more sass!

5pts @stratman3142 like it was translated from Italian text info guitar and played.  V cool.

3 pts @flying_pie Pentasonic. Both versions were most likely to result in girls taking their tops off at a rock festival I thought.   Splendid.

1pts @digitalkettle very accomplished playing, way more that Angus could manage,  but I felt the backing required a drier tone.  Splendid licks.

5 Points @digitalkettle - A bit Surfy in tone and Bluesy in Style, nice work and loved the run up at the end.

3 Points @flying_pie - Mr Pink Track. Nice phrasing and effective tone, another one with a Bluesy feel to it.

1 Point @stratman3142 - Very creative idea and slightly left field. Executed very well as usual.

I went with the entries that (I felt) best suited the backing track for style and sound.

5 points: @digitalkettle : Rockabilly vibes. A great fit to the backing

3 points: @fastonebaz for Pulp Fact : Rock n' roll surf guitar sits well with the backing.

1 point: @flying_pie for Pentasonic : A style and tone that slots in well.

    It's not a competition.
