This is the 95th solo of the Month (SotM) Challenge.

Thanks to @fastonebaz for this backing track, who described it as follows:

"I imagined a frothing mouthed warthog scraping its hoof in the sand head down low as it eyed its foe it was about to launch itself at - and this is the sound that played in the background to the scene"

So I'm sure that we can all take inspiration from that

Also, feel free to comment on how you approached the solo, which will add a bit more interest and maybe we can learn something from each other.

There should be headroom to record your solo. Try to set a level without excessive master limiting, because we want to avoid loudness wars.

Voting will start soon after the submission deadline, with each voter selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.

First choice gets 5 points - Second choice gets 3 points - Third choice gets 1 point

The order and scores of the top three entries will be announced soon after the voting ends.

No prizes. It's just for fun.

I has a basic melody and framework but my "studio" is currently filled with junk awaiting a run to the tip at the weekend . Hopefully get something recorded soon

I really wanted to play a single take, one guitar piece for this one, so after 120 takes ish, i went with this one which I caught on camera    

On top of my basic lead tone, I layered on a patch I found called "Angry Sitar" which sounded suitably knarly in the background.

Cool video. I did wonder whether to video mine, which was also one take (after loads of run throughs). But my videos would exclude my head, as I'm not as young and handsome as you

Sent mine in.

Used the neck pick up on the Tele Deluxe. Cubase/GuitarRig5 Mesa Amp Model with Delay and I shaped a Filter effect just to give the notes a bit of an edge.

You can send it during the voting period, if you don't mind risking missing out on votes from those that have already voted.

Cheers. I'm not too fussed about the votes. It's another cracking track and I just wish I had more spare time this month
