Weirdly, it sounded exactly the “distorted guitar” patch on 90s MIDI synths.

Still impressive though.

Was she actually playing in that video?
Her breathing mouth movement and blowing didn’t look like she was.
Also the bag was full,Just didn’t look right,  but what do I know about bagpipes .

She’s won a lot of competitions for piping and does shows with a violinist (also an attractive young woman who wears…okay, there’s a theme emerging…)so even if it is mimed it is very much the kind of thing she normally does.

I might be the only member here that finds Freebird irritating and self indulgent but the girl got most of the nuances fairly right. It didn’t do anything to change my mind about the solo though.

I suspect she was. With bagpipes breathing is uncoupled from playing by the bag. The flow of air to the chanter and drones is controlled by squeezing the bag. Blowing just keeps the bag inflated.

Ahh yes, Ally the piper, I've been following her for the past year on Facebook so I see a fair bit of her impressive playing. As mentioned, she often plays with Violinist Mia Asano, they make a great duo, and are both very attractive!

Seeing as she tours and plays live, I see no reason to think that she wouldn't be playing in this video.
