From 2020. Lovely small 00 size from Kieran McNally. Unusual woods that are visually stunning with a 1 13/16 (45.5mm) nut and 57mm string spacing at saddle. Great fingerstyle spacing. 14 fret neck

Green ebony bridge. 

Easy playing c shaped neck. 

Surprisingly loud for the size. Fundamental strong note attack with few overtones. 

A couple of marks on the soundboard shown in photos. Very dependent on the angle of light as to visibility. Some other minor marks of use. 

Just shy of £5k new in these woods.

Out of curiosity, how would a padauk b&s guitar sound compared to more traditional woods, such as rosewood or mahogany?

It’s definitely toward the mahogany end of the spectrum. But has more overtones.

That’s a very striking guitar.  I’m intrigued by acoustics with a sound port.  It makes sense to me, but I’ve never tried one.

I’ve got 2 with them.  Not convinced it makes any difference if I’m honest. But it’s nice to be able to look inside and see quality workmanship.
