It turns out that there are a variety of transcriptions of this on youtube and even the best one admits to not being certain.
Surprisingly tricky to play as there are quite a few pre-bends/half bends with varying styles of vibrato thrown in plus the rhythm isn't entirely straight.
Anyhow, I made a youtube playlist of the tutorials that I could find so chucking it on here in case anyone finds it useful.
I'm an intermediate player and I do recommend it as a development exercise - easy enough to start and musical enough to be satisfying once you've got it.

I heard the demo version of the track yesterday - and very much reminded what a terrific difference the production can make on a song. I don't know who the producer was but by god he sprinkled some fairy dust on that track - with or without Bob Holness playing sax on it.
