Could go something Firebird-flavoured for the headstock?

That could work scaled down for a 6 a side headstock, but I think I'm sticking with 3 a side, and it would be hard to add firebird influence to that without taking it into Ivison territory

had a play with a slimmer but curvier headstock. I quite like the reverse version of this

I like how that plays with the back curve of the body. That's very nice.

i think i'm there.  Tweaked the curve from nut to bass tuners and changed the board for 22 frets slotted to the rule of 18 for  vintage fret spacing

Yep - thats the one.  Much better match to the body    Sense of forward motion in the overall shape.

Shaping up great.   Are you going for fir clear nitro over the Idigbo or going for a tint? 

The Idigbo shot early in the thread looked pretty close to a brownish Korina already

I will see how it looks with sealer on and tint if needed.

The neck lams do have some darker sections so tinting may even it all out
