I’ve just finished a run of festivals, from Glastonbury until this weekend , now having a couple of days to recover and get dry. I was having a beer with a mate of mine who was asking about how it went and what bands were worth watching and booking and I struck me I couldn’t answer his question it was all a blur.
Some bands I’ve mixed have been fantastic and some not so, but none sprung immediately to mind. It was all a bit embarrassing as he wanted some ideas for a festival he’s planning next year and I couldn’t immediately recommend bands or give contact details.
The point of this is really when your playing a festival or any gig , try to ensure the bloke doing your sound has a reason to remember you. We do get asked when booked for events to recommend bands who could fit the bill for the event.
To add to this I do have a number of bands CDs that I have mixed and enjoyed, that I play as background at other gigs , from which that band has got a booking
