    Lot of rockabilly players use flat wounds and on the surf guitar forum flatwounds, particularly Pyramid, are de rigueur. And Jimmy Vaughan ( with a plain G) and, cause we've had this before, country player Kenny Vaughan too. Jeff Beck on his rockabilly choons, pretty much anyone trying to get an authentic 50's - 60's tone to cover the Beatles, etc.
