New dark ambient release: Devoid - 'Tombs'

I recorded the first piece of what would become the Devoid project back in about 1995, after being introduced to Warhammer Quest and wanting to make some suitably subterranean-sounding music to help our tabletop sessions be more immersive. Gradually I got more and more into making these kinds of soundscapes, and it also became a point of honour that everything would be done on guitar and bass which really spurred me on to being creative in how I approached the instrument.

So here at long last is the first Devoid album 'Tombs', all two and three-quarter hours of it; some of it new all-digital recordings, some of it newly restored for this release from the original multitrack tapes from all those years ago (and if I've done my remastering job right, you shouldn't be able to tell the difference). I'm rather proud of this one; hopefully you might enjoy it too, especially if you do any kind of the tabletop or RPG stuff that it was directly inspired by and for which it was made.
