  • I liked it. Interesting and great musicianship.

    It's not a competition.

    I'm a fan of pretty much everything Louis Cole touches

    I'm not really into a lot of his obvious influences (the 80s electrofunk, LA vibes) but he always has such a groove and good ideas that it's hard not to be carried along by the music. All those muscians are so above my level it's beyond funny.

    I really like the whole album, Knower Forever.

    I’d never heard of them until this, so thank you!

    This is recent one of his is good. I also appreciate the low budget DIY vibe @equalsql ;

    And Clowncore is just insanely good. The fact that's it's just the two of them and they're playing in a moving car wtf

  • Fantastic album. Their solo projects are both great too. Took me longer to get into Genevieve’s stuff but her latest album is really good

    Also I love this song, and the video is a simple idea but feels perfect for it.

    Louis' musicality always blows me away.
    Just the chords and music on this snippet from Park Your Car Upon My Face is just..amazing.

    25 seconds. It actually made me feel ill - motion sickness type nausea.

    I've come back to it a few times this week. It's really grown on me. I would like to learn the solo and see what's going on there. He is tracking the chord changes very closely. Jazz people are slightly terrifying!

    This guy breaks down a Louis Cole drum groove and it is fascinating

    I’ve been listening to Knower and Cole stuff quite a bit since this thread started and it’s all starting to sound the same.  Not melodically the same, but the same drums, same staccato-y and pause-y stuff, etc.  Diminishing returns.  My favorite Cole song so far is “Little Piano Thing,” which I imagine he just sat down and played without much thought or effort.

    I liked the first one. Most of the rest is tuneless noise to me.
