What's the process for nominating songs to play?  Ta.

There is no 'H' in Aych, you know that don't you? ~ Wife

Everyone suggests a few tracks for consideration by the group, with the proposer stating what role they would like to take for each of their tunes. We then give it some time to see if we can attract volunteers for all necessary roles for each track. Eventually, tracks that do not attract a full 'band' get dropped.

on the BOC front, we used to do Reaper in the band at school.................

perhaps an idea to keep things "fresh" ,  "ban" any song that's been previously done ?  - (apologies for sounding like a take-over)

    Not a bad idea.

The only slight problem is it puts a big burden on learning new stuff for @mrkb as the only drummer. Also, I attempt to chart all the songs, so I can cover on guitar or bass in the event that anyone can't make it at the last minute.

But yes to having new numbers where we can.

    It's not a competition.

Wow - I assume youre volunteering to pickup up learning 30 drum tracks?? I look forward to getting back to playing the guitar again

We added 8 new songs this time, and people swapped around what they played on from last time, which seems enough to keep it fresh, but not waste weeks learning a new song only to play it once for 3 mins.
    Karma......

We paid a drummer to do one of these a long time ago. Could be an option?

I was thinking about hiring some guitar players that know when to end the song in the right place ;)

I’m hoping for future events we’ll get Andy back to full health, and maybe FastEddies son Harley would like to come back and take on more songs - he was great sitting in last weekend. That will give a wider range of songs we can cover on drums and allow more new stuff.

Then I can help out on vocals, as Rob and Darren have had to do loads to cover that recently.

You played that cool slide down in the rhythm part of All Right Now perfectly. That's worth 10,000 notes for attention to detail.

We already have a pretty collaborative group, but potentially having three drummers is just incredible.

Well, he's doing lots of physio, and I think he's improving slightly - but not enough to get back behind a kit AFAIK.  I guess we could have a whip-round and get him a new hip.  About a grand each ought to cover it...
