Using a Mac & a Windows Machine, same software. Shouldn't be any issues?

My laptop packed in. Windows machine. I spied a potential offer with my local "friendly" bank, Macbook Air 15. If I were to install the Apple versions of the same software I have been using, could I still export e.g. Reaper files and play them on a Windows machine with the same plugins on a Windows machine?

Thanks. I went with another Windows machine in the end but checked my plugins and nearly all of them have IoS versions, so in the future, I may go for an Apple Desktop.
