Heavy to thinner guage strings: truss rod adjustment needed?

What's Hot
Guitar in question is a 28 inch scale Ibanez RGIB6.  I've recently changed the strings from 65 to 11 (or in that ballpark) to 59 to 13.  Everything seems fine but I can apprecate that the tension is different now.  Do I have to adjust the truss rod? Ill check back in a day or two but it doesnt seem like Im getting choking out or fret buzz (bar the kinda new string style you can get).

Advice/thoughts welcome :+1:

Check the relief on your guitar.  Plenty of info on how to do that online

If the relief isn't excessive, and it's not rattling or buzzing in the lower positions, you don't need to adjust it.

You may not - if the heavy strings are lighter and vice versa the total tension may be about the same, or close enough.
