  • Nice...they seem to come as a trio of bands to get into at the moment:
    • King Buffalo
    • All Them Witches
    • Elder

I think there might be something there that interests me, but I didn’t get it from that video and the less than amazing sound quality. A band I shall look up if I remember …

  • I’ve just started listening to them as well, they came up as ‘related’ after watching some ATW - that same outdoor vid, which I watched initially because it looked really odd :) I don’t like them as much as ATW or KB but still pretty good. The singer seems to struggle on some live stuff.

Randomly got into Elder from a shared playlist on twitter by comedian/actor/legend Rob Delaney. Top band!

  • thanks for the post @equalsql - Its unlikely I'd have come across this on my own..... the standard chugging mental riff that comes in a 2.40 aside its pretty interesting - I like the more drawn out, hypnotic psych bits..... I am off to find more

They were one of the very first bands I "discovered" thanks to Spotify, about a decade ago.  They have become a lot more sophisticated over the years and in some ways I prefer the earlier stuff, but I still love them.

    This is a good set:

^ Good stuff. I'm sure I could hear the riff from Zep's 'Immigrant Song' at 1m 45s  ;)

You can't play heavy music on a Telecaster, it's against the guitar rules!  Like it though, will be looking for more.

  • Great band - I was gutted to miss their Bristol gig recently, it had sold out before I'd seen the announcement and I hadn't managed to snag a resale ticket :(

  • Sounds like Gish era Smashing Pumpkins from 1st vid. off to further investigate

  • Wondered if they'd been mentioned on here ... great band, Reflections Of A Floating World is fantastic.

Saw them at Desertfest a few years back, would love to catch them again.
