41.2mm 7.25 radius nut for strat build - can’t find one can anybody point me in the right direction?

Last year, I built a partscaster from an allparts vintage radius neck and an alder body. 

The nut I got is just a little bit too wide for the neck. I think I need a 41.2mm one but I can’t find one online anywhere.. do any fellow fretboarders know where I can get one…?

This is it.. I need to sort the nut and get some string trees on and I think it will be nice… go easy on me. My second build!!

You can see the nut overhanging slightly on the bass side. Thought of sanding it down but the slots are going to be off centre then..

Your strings go the wrong way round the post.


I would just trim a 42mm nut to fit, the string spacing should still work.... however the string spacing on that nut does not look good.

Start from a blank. Choose your own string spacing.

How about @gavin_axecaster he sells allparts necks so would have thought he'd have the right nut.

Thanks everyone… appreciate it very much. I think I’ve got the right size coming directly from graphtech. If(when) I’ve chosen the wrong one again I will try Gavin..  I’m not sure if equipped to make an accurate one from a blank yet.. (but might be a good challenge)

The nut arrived and after a bit of shaping looks better.
