NGD: Gretsch Bobtail Resonator

After wanting a resonator for about 25 years I finally pulled the trigger in a Black Friday deal and picked this up for a reasonable price. I was considering going full retard and ordering a custom one from Mule, but this should scratch the itch for a while...

I'm very pleasantly surprised by how well it plays considering the price of these Gretsch resonators. It's suitably twangy, very loud, and also has a Fishman Nashville pickup in it.

HNGD. I was looking at the Boxcar. I wonder if it's worth spending a bit more for the Bobtail to get the pickup.

I thought so - it's the from the Nashville range, so a better pickup than you get in most other resos at a similar price point, too.
