Searching for new music to listen to.

I’m currently very much into Animals as Leaders / Plini / Intervals instrumental output and I quite like some of Scale the Summit’s stuff.

What else can you guys suggest.

Ta.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

    You might like For Giants.

Not quite as wiggly as some of those, but similar territory.

Or Miroist, if you don't mind just a touch of djent.

Not sure they are what you are looking for, more prog than metal, but have you heard the excellent Liquid Tension Experiment?

Try Octavision - only one album release "Coexist" from 2020.

If just one track probably try "Three Lives" as that is typical of the whole record.

On the off chance you've not already, maybe Cloudkicker?

    Probably Fade and earlier.

How about Elder? Coming from stoner rock, they've developed into a superb proggy metal band, try their latest album Innate Passage. It has a few brief vocals but is mostly long instrumental sections

    Thanks again @Sporky, and @MagicPigDetective ;

Out of all these suggestions, I’m really enjoying the Miroist album.

Cloudkicker is a great shout - been years since I’ve listened. Got tomorrows work music sorted!

Tried Mestis? Javier Reyes' project outside of AAL.

Less metal, more diverging from the Plini end of things - Nick Johnston and Owane are both great.

Aye. I have Polysemy and Eikasia.

Bit more chilled and not so polyrhythmic.

    Really like them.

I’ll have a listen to Nick Johnston and Owane. I recognise both the names, but can’t remember hearing anything by either. Will check them out.

    Cheers.

And thank you again for suggesting Miroist. Curve is becoming one of my favourite albums.
