I think she's had Alzheimer's for several years?  Horrible disease.  RIP.

She was in the same class as my uncle in Holyhead County School. I just found out that her first job was a teacher at the school that’s at the end of my street.

Fiercely, uncomplainingly competent woman that managed to support her husband Neil as Labour leader whilst raising their family, he described her "not just a rock, but a continent of rocks". Then had her own political career as a Welsh MEP .
Bloody awesome person & just like my lovely fiercely competent, awesome Mum, stolen away by bastard Alzheimer's.
