Waxing my Nitro - but not in a good way :-(

Help - whilst applying Briwax to the danish oiled back and sides of my almost newly refinished LP, I have got some on the black nitro front. It looks like it has started to eat into the surface. Any idea what I can do to save the day?

I've applied briwax to nitro on numerous occasions.  It won't usually eat into it.

Try some white spirit to remove the wax, then you might need to rebuff the nitro
