Loop without using a looper

Bit of an experiment, can you make something sound like you are using a looper without actually using one. 

Chain is Telecaster - Caline Blue Sky - delay pedal then into Nux Mighty Plug then into iMac and recorded live in Quicktime. 

Starting with a bass line, then added a snatch of chord, then a little riff then a bit of melody. Threw in some harmonics to add a bit of vibe. 
There's a few clangers in there but I don't ever edit anything, it's just played live and recorded live in one take.
