Pre-gain pedal tone shaper's

I nearly sold my Thorpy The Dane pedal as it didn't suit me as a gain/drive pedal, then I stacked it in front of my Box of rock and quickly removed it from the classifieds.
The right hand side had boost and bass control and this alone is great for compensating different guitars, single pick up to humbucker with the bass control as the bass covers a wide range, then the boost for level of drive.
I use the left side as a form of treble/solo booster.
I find the RYRA is also a great pedal to stack in front of a drive.
Please excuse my mumbled and sloppy delivery...

If you're into tone shaping id recommend you try a Boss GE7.... Great for stacking  with drives

Thanks, I have one of them, I'll have a play later. I can't remember where I saw it, might have been Johan Segeborn, where he tries to emulate a treble booster with a GE7, it gets very close.

  • VFE Standout, GE-7 are both really effective, pre and post gain.
    This one goes to eleven
