I'm amazed that nobody in this forum has seen them ... after three attempts to do so, me'n Mrs F have finally got tickets :+1:  and I'm ecstatic ... here's a reminder why:

So, tonight Me'n Mrs F were lucky enough to attend The Vintage Explosion playing in the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow ... and unequivocally I state that we've never seen anything like it ... utterly astounded we are :astonished:

2,500 folk singing and dancing, in total rapture and totally enthralled and entertained. We've never been to a rock'n roll gig before but this band is SO good we felt transported back 60+ years to the USA.

The band is tight, confident, perfectly presented, very professional and balanced. The lead singer is the orchestrator, bandleader, mover, shaker, front man, engager and a brilliant all-rounder but his voice is on another level ... seriously, we've never heard anyone like this before.

Mrs F is already looking at forthcoming gigs that she can take her two best friends to as a surprise. She's never done anything like that before.

No spoilers ... just a hearty recommendation to everyone ... if you want something top-class and totally different then check em out ... I'm certain you'll not regret it.

Having a quick look at some stuff on YouTube. Reminds me a bit of James Hunter although James is/was in more of a vintage RnB groove whereas The Vintage Explosion are broader/ more of a review. And James is a corking guitarist although it’s not guitar oriented music.
But selling 2,500 tickets for an act I’ve never heard of before they are obviously doing well. Although my son works for a venue and some of the biggest selling acts there I don’t  know who they are. Anyway, live music, people went, you had a good time, all good.
