Finally, I’ve found a fuzz I like!

Been on a bit of a fuzz journey recently.

I’ve got a big muff on my big board but don’t tend to use it that much so was looking for something else, not really sure what but just something. 

I’ve tried the following
Bozz Waza FZ-1W
Dod Carcosa
Fuzz face mini blue FFM1
Fuzz face mini red FFM2
Keeley fuzz bender

They were all fine but just didn’t quite fit for various reasons. Was ready to just admit to not being a fuzz guy but thought I would give one last pedal a try.

Enter the Fuzz Face min Hendrix FFM3. Its bloody brilliant!  

The fuzz is just thick enough, but with enough mids and highs that it doesn’t turn to mush. 

Ive always been a volume on 10 guy but it’s just so interactive to use. Backing off the volume to 8 and you have that really pleasing glassy clean tone. 

As you can tell I’m loving it so far.

So much so I’m trying to get a MXR 108 classic fuzz for my little board as it’s apparently the same circuit but with a buffer.
