  • £269 on Andertons, is it worth an extra £100 over a regular Broadcast Dual?

Not sure, on paper it looks good.

I have one of these old limited edition ones, pre-signature models, etc

It's certainly got extra functionality compared to either the original Broadcast AP or the Broadcast Dual, it's just a matter of whether you need it for the way you use your Broadcast. It's more like two completely independent Broadcasts than anything else Hudson make.

I like the Bass Cut control on the originals. I think I'd miss it playing live.

This was my first thought. It would be worth knowing if the mk2 has the usual internal trimpots so you could at least have it preset to your taste

  • Internal trimmers for gain and low cut

I get internal trimmers, though I also hate internal trimmers. They are super annoying when you want to adjust basic settings and generally 'piss me off'.

Though, I understand 'set and forget', etc

Just think that I am too much of a tweaker.

  • @stonevibe it's a bit of a thing isn't it...like if the control is important enough to be included in the pedal, can't we have it so we don't have to take the pedal apart to get at it?

But if all you're ever going to do with it is figure out where you want it and then never touch it again, why does it need to take up space, complicate the user interface and require an expensive part? There's now four different variations on the Broadcast available, so the one with the external controls you actually need is probably out there.

Ah this is great news, this will be getting ordered in the new year then.

I’m a massive Hudson fan and massive AP fan so it’s a no brainer.

mmm think i'd be more interested in a standalone silicon one with normal layout, if they're different enough to warrant having both sounds available.
