On Sky Arts tonight - 8pm Classic Albums: Disraeli Gears, then Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock 9pm, followed by Band of Gypsies at The Fillmore East NYC 10.15pm.

Two threads and counting.

For reasons known only to Hendrix, he spelled the band name Gypys. (Presumably, a contraction of Gypsy Sun And Rainbows - the name he announced at Woodstock.)

I've seen a lot of the Band of Gypsys documentary before but, bloody hell, they were a fine band.
