NPD - Boss LM-2 Limiter

I've wanted to try a compressor/limiter for a while and I picked this up for about 60 quid, so worth a punt. When it turned up I couldn't get it to work, either with a power supply or a battery. A quick internet search confirmed it needs an ACA power supply, which I don't have, but it does work with a 12v supply that I do have. It still wouldn't work with a battery though, but after a bit of examination it turned out the negative wire had been crushed somehow and was broken. After re-joining it with some solder and heat shrink the job's a good'un and it works well.

The ad made no mention of any problem, but I'm pretty sure the guy that sold it knew about the battery problem as he's gone completely silent since he sent it. Oh well, his loss is my gain.

Great pedal, on my ‘why did I sell that?’ list. Really good for the subtly tidying up dynamics type of comp / limiter use. Congrats!
