The Liver Transplant Pioneer has died at the age of 93 years.
I was an SHO on the Regional Head Injury Unit in the early 1980's. His Transplant Unit was in the same Hospital (Addenbrooke's in Cambridge). I'm afraid that he was regarded by the staff on the Head Unit as a bit of a ghoul, who would appear on our Unit from time to time seeking fresh victims from whom he could potentially extract "spare parts" in the near future.
