Audio Interface

I could do with a little advice regarding audio interfaces please. At home i have a steinberg ur 22 which i am mostly using for Amplitube 5 and EZ drummer 3 standalone which seem to be fine (also Reaper occasionally) I am only a hobbyist by the way so not a lot invested in studio recording etc. 
  In work i am using a line6 Amplifi tt as an interface for the same thing. The Unit is controllable by an app(though i don't use it. )and has a few buit in effects x4  and a tap tempo. my Question is  Could this interface be causing my Amplitube and Reaper to crash. Also if i launch an app which uses audio ie youtube... should i expect to lose all connection with my speakers through amplitube. I usually relaunch Amplitube which can take upto 5 mins to reload.   many thanks  John.
