Ok, I'm taking my time in the build (and had a couple of busy wknd). Got all paint and lacquer from Manchester Guitar Tech.

Finished a second coat of sanding sealer and left for a couple of days. I have a couple of spots where it looks milky, is this 'bloom'? Wasn't expecting it on the sealer layers so just threw me a little?

To remedy is best for another coat of sealer and be mindful of temp/humidity?

Bloom is one of those things that can happen but normally it’s a sort of milky look you can see when it goes on. Sometimes wetting over gets it to go. It’s not normally small spots. Have you got a photo?

Looked nice and wet when applied, just when I came to it dry it looks a little milky in patches.

If you spray a wet coat in humid conditions (might not take much) then this can happen. Nothing to worry about, keep spraying.

Brill thanks, would you say keep spraying sanding sealer until it goes or would moving on to white primer be ok?

Rubbing the affect area with a rag or your finger should actually release any trapped moisture. But tbh you could probably de-nib the last coat using 320-400 paper and continue to primer

So a quick update in that I finished the guitar about a month ago.

Sonic Blue over Shoreline Gold, bit of relic with a roasted maple neck. Spent a bit of time popping bits of metal in vinegar fumes.

Really enjoyed the process and pleased with the result. Obviously there are bits I feel could've been better but that's pretty standard with most things I do.
