He's not hip, but he's tolerable. 

Mrs_bob likes him, I'm not fussed. I quite like the retro 70s piano balladeer schtick, and some of his songs are catchy, but I wouldn't spend my money on his records.

I've played a few of his songs in my wedding piano side hustle gig, but haven't really listened to him much - I read sheet music so I was able to find what I needed without listening to it very much.

Seems well written and nicely put together tunes and harmonies, rhythms are different than guitar because piano but obviously that's helpful to me in my capacity

I think of him as being kind of like George Ezra, only with a piano.  That's almost certainly not true, but I can't be bothered to listen to him to find out one way or the other.

Nah. George Ezra is much more fun. Tom Odell is more introspective and ballady.

I like him. I thought Long Way Down was a good album with some nice melodies and solid songwriting. He’s touring the UK this year so I’m planning to see him next month.
