I'm on the lookout to replace my LL16 ARE as I can't really get on with its big chunky neck. I prefer slimmer necks (favourite profile is Martin MLO) and 43mm nuts (or so I thought).
I noticed GG had a few Furchs in and had time to kill, so tried a few:
Green D SM
Green DC SR
Vintage 1 D SR
All I can say is WOW! The build quality and sound from all 3 guitars was immense!
The soft v profile is a VERY soft v, if a v at all. The 45mm nut posed no problems for me. It's a very comfortable neck indeed.
The Greens were lovely. The Vintage 1 had nicer appointments and slightly fancier timbers. It also had a little more bottom end.
I'd he happy to own any of them, but the thing that put me off was the satin finish on these 3 examples. Don't get me wrong, it was flawlessly applied. But if I'm paying £1100-£1700 for a guitar I want a gloss top at the very least.
Back to the drawing board...

They certainly do make guitars with gloss finishes if that's your thing. Give Richards a ring, the'll be able to tell you which models come with a gloss top.
just because you do, doesn't mean you should.
But I'd rather see and play the guitar in person...
From what I can tell the spec has changed recently.
Pretty sure the Green series used to be full pore high gloss.
Project Music have one in stock in that finish for the same price as the Vintage 1.
I know it's all about personal preference, but I feel fully satin guitars look unfinished and slightly downmarket.
My glossy G23CRC is a keeper though, wonderful tones, a fingerstyle beast.
Not really interested..no more poems youve probably got english class.in the morning. prefer russian rap than the riddly hanky panky Lol
