Budget mic pre/FX

Well I'm now three months into my vocal lessons,
When practicing I plug directly into my Audio interface (Behringer 8in/8out).
However it can be a pain to open the DAW get a compressor/EQ/Reverb going, which of course all switches off when the DAW is in the background as I often have YouTube as the main active app for backing tracks/tutorials/exercises.
So it would be nice to get a bit of pre-processing. Would also be nice to have a pass through as well so I could have a an dry and wet track when recording.
Budget? Ideally around £100 to £150 but could go a little higher.
Main microphone is a Shure 55SH and an AT condenser microphone.

  • Maybe one of the Boss Vocal pedals before you hit the interface.

This is not what you asked about but reading the bit I have quoted makes me think you should look at creating a template, that is, a blank session with the channel(s) and plug-ins all ready to go for when you open the template - ready for another occasion given the audio problems you are having with your DAW in the background.

Ok not exactly a pain. But it would be nice to not open the DAW and having to switch it into the foreground every time I change a track on YouTube.
    Just plug and play.
