I presume it's just pushing the mids and cutting the bottom end and the highs.

Yes, there are some nice presets in Logic if you’re using that.

Bandpass filter with your EQ settings

Izotope vinyl is quick to dial in this sort of sound. I've used it on a number of projects. Free too, at least it used to be. You could also add some tape style saturation. I use ToneBoosters ReelBus but there are many others.
