How can I get that low budget/old film voice sound?

Not a great description in the title, but something like they've done here in the film Bait:


I presume it's just pushing the mids and cutting the bottom end and the highs.

    Izotope vinyl is quick to dial in this sort of sound. I've used it on a number of projects. Free too, at least it used to be. You could also add some tape style saturation. I use ToneBoosters ReelBus but there are many others.
