It seems there are some cheap pedals in Japan on the bay, has anyone had any issues buying from Japan?

I’ve only ever seen crazy expensive pedals from Japan. The few pedals I have on watch occasionally list from Japan for at least 2x, sometimes 3x the price.

We clearly have a different taste in pedals!

I've bought from Ishibashi a few times with no drama, and someone on ebay too.

Don't forget to allow for about 25% on top of the sales price AND shipping to cover the VAT and the import tax and admin fee.

I've bought pedals and guitars from via Buyee.

Best bargain was this amazing sounding 90's Nobels OD which was under £100 all in.

Voltage can be different on Japanese pedals so do due diligence.

Unless it's a Power Supply, almost all pedals uses 9v DC or like 12v AC....not 110v or 240v direct from the mains.

So this is not an issue.

Hmm… not really. Most pedals will still want 9v (or occasionally 12 or 18v). The bundled PSU, where applicable, might be for 110V, but that’s not a major issue for most folks running pedalboard power supplies
