Does it follow the story of the games? I never thought halo had an especially strong story, even for games of a similar age. I’m not a big halo fan, but being an Xbox player and liking shooters made me feel I was missing something, until Gears of war came out and completely changed what I expect big budget shooters to be.

Liked S1 and watched S2E1 last night and liked it but it felt a bit disjointed after S1.

I’m a big fan of the Halo games, but I’ve not kept interest with the series. It has its good moments but Master Chief comes across as a moody teenager rather than a super strong willed soldier with empathy.

I have just finished S1 episode 1. Like it, but I do like sci fi generally. Looks well done. Never played the game.

Annoying thing is that if you watch on a fire stick, there’s no subtitles when the aliens are talking, so you miss a whole load of important dialog. Subs work on mobile though, so we’re watching the alien bits on phone while watching most on the big TV. Intensely annoying

Yes, very. You could do a quick read on the game plot to get more insight if you wanted , it might be a bit of a spoiler or it might add foundation as to what the Halo actually is.

I just watched the latest episode, jesus, its kicking off by the looks of how it ended!

So I got up real early to watch the last episode of this series before starting the day, sausage sarnie, cuppa , jesus, this is right up there with BSG in my books, I hope it doesnt end up being shelved like so many other great sci fi shows have been in the past.

I watched the first two and have left the rest to binge on Sunday/Monday.

I'm saving the last 2 for the weekend, been an excellent series so far (couple of minor blips along the way). Loving it.

I've played every single Halo and I don't know the story. Aliens invade, you fight them, that's basically it.
