ES-5 alternatives

Hi, I have an ES-5 and it does the job. I’m going to build a new pedalboard for a midi equipped amp.

I need to an expression pedal and at least 3 loops.

Are there alternatives to the ES-5 I should be considering?

Thanks
Andy

Musicomlab EFX-LE should do the job - does for me.

Haven't been following prices recently but they came up cheaper than ES5 second-hand when I got mine.

First time I’ve seen one of those. Tbh this is an area I feel the likes of That Pedal Show should cover but of course Dan has a biased/invested interest in such devices so they’ll never review any other switching system other than gigrig stuff. Kind of get it but also feeling a little miffed by it too

Over half the price of a G3 that fender switcher is though

This looks quite cool - if they were on the second hand market I'd probably get one.....but a combination of being tight and being used to the ES-5 means I'll probably stick with that for now.  Mind you.....I don't have the amp yet.....so by the time I get it and try it with my existing ES-5, one of these might come up! :)

What's wrong with the ES-5? Love mine.

Nothing - well, to be fair, sometimes the LEDs and midi functions refuse to work properly and you have to turn stuff on and off in the config till it responds (some fairly complicated stuff in the editor using assigns)....but generally great.  It's only that building a new pedalboard is a good time to consider what is out there....and needing fewer loops and looking for the smallest footprint, I was just considering what was out there.

Not had that issue with mine to date but fair enough.
