iRig HD for bass?

Does anyone use one of these at all? Could do with something to noodle through at home, but don't want to have another amp lying around just yet - my thinking is that at least this would work well for my guitars too. I've got an Amplitube 3 licence, and Guitar Rig 5 already from a comp a while back so I'm guessing I can use those with it.

Any better suggestions for home-practice for under a ton?

I use Jamup with an Apogee Jam for bass. Sounds lovely to my ears (through headphones at least)

Amplitude with a line 6 sonic port for me. Bought the ampeg models.

    Works very well.

  • Does the sonicport work on Mac though, or just iOS?

Forgot about the apogee, input gain might be useful if switching between the two I guess. The B3 looks like a good buy too, if only for the versatility - would it work as a usb interface and bypass the stock modelling too?

  • Irig HD will work fine for bass.

I'm assuming you plan to use this on PC and not IOS, in which case you'll need to download Asio4all to use the Irig as the input and your computers sound card as the output.

  • It'll be used on both probably, iOS for practice, and OSx if I want to do any actual recording (for once!). :)
