Withdrawn: Epiphone USA Limited Edition "Stripped" John Lennon Revolution Casino (PRICE DROP)

I don't even know where to begin with this guitar.

This is an Epiphone USA (already we're looking at something rare!) replica of John Lennon's "revolution" casino. Limited to 1965 instruments back in the early 2000s, these are not something you're likely to come across every day. Includes certificate, scratch plate, alternate volume knob, and the booklet. The hard case as well, but it is missing a latch (well, it's not missing, it's in the case...just not attached any more)

I really wish I knew more of the specs, but info around these is so scarce that I think the best source is probably Chris Buck's video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qplFxWdwfs&t

I think there's a few up for sale on reverb at the moment, all of which are more expensive than this one (except the one with a warped neck...) and some of which are a LOT more expensive than this one!

I've spoken about it before on the forum, so it may be worth checking out this thread if you're interested in a bit of background info.

Long story short, I've owned this guitar for nearly 20 years now. It's not in mint condition, but I'd say it's very good...all things considered. There's a couple of marks on the back of the neck, and the main issue would be the minor ding in the top of the headstock (caused by thieves, it's a long story). I've tried to show everything in the pictures.

I think, other than my first ever guitar, this is the guitar I've owned the longest in my entire collection. The reason it's being listed today is that I have my first little one due in May, and to say my priorities have shifted would be an understatement.

Right, pricing....

£5500 cash or £6000 trade value.

Trade wise, I'm looking for part-ex only. The main reason for sale is to put some cash in the account for the little one so swapping for an equally high end guitar lands me in exactly the same position. I'm not too fussed if it doesn't sell right now to be honest, I can't see the values ever going down on these so if there isn't a buyer at the moment then I can wait until there is. Now just feels like a sensible time to offer it, I'm sure another time will crop up later.

Any questions then please get in touch.

Bump, looks like the neck warp has gone from reverb.

I guess that makes this one the cheapest.

...not sure how relevant that is on a 5.5k guitar but if I were in the market for one then I certainly wouldn't want to buy the most expensive one I could find! (which is currently a shade under £12,000 for those interested).

I also think I need to put a bit of a time limit on this listing as well. These have gone from 4k-ish to 6k-ish over the last 18-24 months, and as this is very much a guitar that needs the right buyer to come along I don't want to leave this listing here for some smug guitar store employee to use as an excuse to lowball someone on a trade in another 12-18 months down the line.

@Evo good luck with the sale - the one my friend has is an absolutely incredibly resonant guitar. Beautiful things!
