Asking for a band mate who's just moved from using a Fender Blues Jr amp, to a modelling setup.
He had bought a small active monitor (Alto TS308) for vocals to sing along to his guitar playing, but now he's got no way of hearing the modeller unless he puts it through the monitor, and then I don't believe there's another input for his mic.
He's going to need a small mixer I think. Perhaps, since he's going to go with a wired IEM for our gigs, he could use a Behringer P1 which has two XLR inputs. At home he can plug both the guitar and mic in. For gigs he can just use one input fed from our band mixer aux.
Are there some other options for a small and cheap mixer?

if he does, then get a small 4 input mixer such as a Mackie vlz402.

The Alto has a Mix Out, but I think that doesn't mute the speaker.
So, a little mixer is the way forward. Just needs to find a good budget mixer.
