Please can I venture adding Beat It to the list, I dont know it yet but would like to learn it?

Even if I just was Steve Lukather with some one else being Eddie Van Halen that would be cool!!

The original is in Eb, but I have played it in E. It depends on who sings it, and what key they can manage. But I'll bring a guitar tuned to Eb standard as usual.

I've been away for a short city break, so I'll catch up with the various comments on this thread over the next few days and update the song list.

Are we able to propose anything from a few weeks ago ? I would really like to have another go at Queen Bitch, The Passenger and Sweet Jane if there was interest.

With regard to Molly's Chambers, I was hoping to play 2nd guitar (perhaps myself and @Brocco could inter-change ?).

We can repeat any that weve previously done as theyre easy to learn again. Im only going to learn 4 new songs on drums, and Harley should hopefully pick up a few - but he really needs to join this forum so he can get an input.

Hiya, I’ll plan for second guitar on Beat it but will work on learning the solo as a project as I reckon I’ll be able to cop it. But I’m not a gigging player so I’m not used to doing it all

I could play 2nd guitar under the solo if you want to try it.

I have played the solo in the past but I'd have to work on it again. Also, it would just be an approximation, as I can never nail EVH's exact phrasing and wouldn't be able to make one of the left hand stretches because my hands aren't big enough.

We almost have a full band for Hanging Around and Rebel Yell (both require a vocalist). Also, thought it worth repeating that @mrkb has offered to play drums on any track that he has played drums on before (the master list of songs that have been performed at prior jams created by @stratman3142 is a useful reference in this respect).

Oh my god you are dead right, those stretches are very big! Maybe this was a bad idea…

I feel like my eyes were too big for my belly on that one

Im happy to sing on a few songs, but cant do that while drumming, so need Harley to propose which ones he'll pick up the drumming on, then I can put my name down to sing.

We usually go for up to 3 song suggestions each. But I can add them all to the list, and we can see if we get enough takers.

I'll update the list as soon as I get a moment. I'm just a bit busy at the moment.
