I'll also stick my boy down for drumming duties as well.

Colour me keen, there are a few weekends in the summer for which I won't be available but will confirm my attendance once a date is confirmed.

    TIA

If we're putting song suggestions forward then could I nominate:

    Long Train Running
    Bad Case of Loving You
Pretty Fly For a White Guy

  • I'll start a song list spreadsheet soon. Should we go for up to 3 suggestions each for now?

    It's not a competition.

Would that not result in 45 new songs ?

Presumably we could still retain some from last week (after not learning the four chords of Molly's Chambers in time, I have since sorted it - doh)...

Having said that, I was going to propose "Steady as She Goes" by The Raconteurs. And would still love to get in a rendition of "Hanging Around" (@mrkb - I have the drum notation in the event you were ok to take a look).

Some won't get a full set of roles and will get dropped. Also, you can propose less than three. I'm happy not to propose any songs, and go with what comes up.

I use to play Steady As She Goes that you suggested, so that's an easy one for me.

I think I'll add a Youtube link for each of the tracks this time, so at least there's a chance we'll learn the same version

When people propose a song can they also say what role they want.

    It's not a competition.

@stratman3142 would it be possible to combine all the tracks that have been performed at the various Western Jams in the past into a master list, ideally showing who the drummer was and who provided vocals? Sharing this may be helpful to those who joined us for the first time on Sunday, or will be doing so for this forthcoming jam. Thinking that this would give us all the complete picture in terms of tracks we have done before that could be considered again.

We usually carry over/revisit 50-70% of previously covered songs at each jam (this was the 5th jam I think, so weve done a fair amount of songs!). Its alot of work to cover the non-guitar roles (Bass, Vocals, drums) and theres many less volunteers for those parts than the guitarist parts ;) so revisiting songs means they are usually performed to a higher standard than the new ones.
