I'd preferably like to try in person before buying, within driving distance of London.

After filtertrons and an archtop bridge please (not a player edition model).

US built as the necks are fatter or a MIJ Jet that's at least 21mm thick measured next to the first fret.

I have seen what's online and they're either MIJ with skinny necks or CS models that are too far away to try or overpriced.

Filtertrons and an archtop bridge please(so not a select model)

The Vintage Select models are the type you want, the modern player editions are the more LP construction type with post bridges and tension bar trems.

The VS 59 model is especially nice if you get to check one of those out.

    Hi Winton,
i really don’t think they make what you’re after.
You might find a vintage model (maybe one of the 70’s or 90’s models), but almost everything they make at pro line level has a typical Fender C neck, nothing in the least chubby or chunky.

They’ve not made guitars in the USA (outside of be custom shop) since the 90’s, and only a handful of models, made by Hamer and Heritage.

The chunkier necks are actually on the budget models. I’ve got a Goldtop project that plays beautifully and sounds great, and has some
girth to the neck.  The G2420T (budget hollow body) has a nice neck too.

Come take my Pro Jet for a few weeks.

Yeah, it's annoying. I have a Setzer that due to the shape feels fine at
    20.7mm alongside first fret
    23.5 alongside the 9th fret

so there must be pro line jet (have seen at least 6 MIJ on Wildwood) that is a tiny bit fatter than that, rather than thinner and without the thin shoulders of the VS!

Would an '89 Jet suit you?
There is a silver one B Stock at Thomann:

Please don't buy the orange sparkle one at Music Street, I am buying that next week I think. :)

I specifically want the more chambered ones that came in after FMIC licence take over but cheers anyway. The orange sparkle looks great!
