Fender Am Pro ii neck replacing

Hi all,

I think I want to experiment with a flatter radius neck on my Am Pro ii, but just want to make sure I can replace with a non-Am Pro neck.

As you can see, the beck plate shape and screw placement is unique to Am Pro: https://guitargeargiveaway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Fender-Professional-ii-Stratocaster-in-Miami-Blue-7.jpg

It looks to me like the neck heel section itself isn't any different to any other strat neck though, so presumably any genuine strat neck will work?

thanks

Same neck heel as all other strats, just need to drill another hole for the modified screw position.

Strictly speaking, it is the same neck pocket as other Stratocasters. The shaped heel and reduced anchor plate are to be found on the more expensive USA instruments.

Your options for flatter radius Fender necks are more limited than you might imagine. Expect Floyd Rose-equipped models to be 12". The American Deluxe and Ultra usually have a compound radius.
