I have a load of old stock bricks left over from various projects and am thinking if building a pizza oven.

Have you built one? If so what design did you go for?

Looking for ideas and some inspiration ;)

You live somewhere with the climate for it?   Looked into it a few times.. then calculated the likelihood of good weather to use it :)

On Great Pottery Throwdown they used pizza oven clay to make toilets. But yes clay and a very specific type of clay. But also bricks apparently.

Indeed. I think the porosity and likelihood of water holding is what makes regular bricks quite dangerous for fires and pizza ovens. Risk of explosion.

If you already have some bricks that may or may not be suitable for pizza oven temperatures, then why not use them to build a base for an Ooni wood fired oven?

They are Victorian stocks, some would have come from chimney breasts, so I couldn't see why they would not be suitable. Might need to use fireproof muck on the inside of the oven.
